Dino Days Sample Projects Part One provides ideas and inspiration for the use of the Dino Days stamp set, the Dino Dies, and other accompanying product from the Dinoroar Suite in the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. The stamp set is adorable. The dinosaurs are cute and the sentiments are sweet. Does a set get any better? I previously posted about this suite to introduce the products and to share card and party ideas. You can see the introductory post here and the dino-themed party ideas post here

In today’s post I show four of eight samples from the annual catalog that were made by Stampin’ Up! designers. You will find these projects on pages 98-100. I also provide supply lists for each of the projects and images that you can click to learn more about each item, or to purchase in my online store. There are also a few tips for embellishing and jazzing up your artwork. I will show the other four projects in a subsequent blog post.

Dino Days I Love You This MuchDino Days Sample Projects Part One

Let’s start with this adorable pink dinosaur with the classic saying “I love you this much”. But the stamp’s cute twist “it’s more than it looks” adds punch. That is good for sarcasm and just plain sweet. This card is appropriate for all ages and genders. Change the colors to fit the recipient. Use an aqua painter to blend the color on the dinosaur and on some of the hearts. Add google eyes for fun. Below are the Stampin’ Up! products used in this card.

Dino Days: You’re Rawrsome

The next project is a “You’re Rawrsome” tag that can be used for a bookmark or to top a gift box or bag. The Take Your pick Tool will help you pick up and place the embellishments right where you want them. Below are the Stampin’ Up! products used for this tag.

Dino Days Look Who’s HatchedDino Days Sample Projects Part One

“Look Who’s Hatched”. Believe it or not, I can think of multiple uses for this card. A baby gift, back-to-school for someone who has slept late, recovery from illness, Easter, coming home, and a few other things. OK, maybe a few of those are a stretch – what would you do with this card? The Dino Dies includes an egg die with a zig-zagged edge. You can also use an oval punch or oval dies to make the egg, or you can cut it free-hand, and then zig zag the crack or opening. Use the sponge dauber and ink to highlight edges of the egg. Below are the Stampin’ Up! products used in this card.

Dino Days Friend
Dino Days Sample Projects Part One

The “Friend” card is sure to bring s mile. How cute is the yellow dinosaur among all the colors and textures? The embossed layered leaves add an interesting layer, and the dies line up with the stamped images for perfectly cut perfect shapes. You can use a Stampin’ Write marker for empasis, or I often prefer a blender pen dipped in a little bit of ink for softer coloring. Below are the Stampin’ Up! products used in this card.
