The Love What You Do stamp set is part of Stampin’ Up!’s Share What You Love suite. My friend Cynthia purchased the suite, and wanted to brainstorm ideas for using it, so she brought her craft supplies to my house after work yesterday. We had pizza and chatted before heading to my basement craft space, so it was a little late before we actually got started. But somehow we managed to finish by 10:00 PM, and collectively, we came up with this gem of a card.

I am Lucky to Have a Friend Like You

The 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ portrait style card base is Very Vanilla, and in order to showcase both the sentiment and the Designer Series Paper (DSP), we cut a Grapefruit Grove layer at 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.  The 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ Rich Razzleberry card stock frames the 3 3/8″ x 2 1/8″ DSP.  Cynthia stamped the “I’m Lucky to Have a Friend Like You” sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink on the bottom section of the Grapefruit Grove panel. It took a couple of tries to stamp straight and evenly, but the Stamparatus was the star of the show, and ultimately the sentiment was near perfect. Then it was time for the beautiful Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon. Since space on the panel was limited, she opted for a knot in the ribbon instead of a bow, and the overall look is lovely.

Cynthia also stamped a sentiment on the inside while leaving enough space for her written message, but of course I did not remember to take that picture at 10:00 PM!

Below are the products used for this card.  If the images do not show, please view this post in your browser.

I hope you like this card. I think the size of the layers and the framed DSP are an interesting touch.
