Oh so SIMPLE! I was able to make this card AND put away all of the supplies in fifteen minutes. The quick cards can sometimes be the prettiest, and the most special. Note – I only put away the supplies used in this card; my craft room remains a mess with a capital “M”.
For this card I used the “Happy Birthday” floral stamp from the Label Me Pretty stamp set with the coordinating Pretty Label Punch. The stamp set is available in clear mount, which I used, and also in wood mount, which some crafters prefer. You can click on the images to go to my online store for additional information.
To make the card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, then scored the long side at 4 1/4 for the fold. I burnished the fold with a bone folder, and then cut a 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 layer of Night of Navy card stock.
The sentiment and flowers were stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock using Night of Navy ink. I used the Stamparatus to ensure even stamping. I then cut out the image with the Pretty Label Punch.
I wrapped the Night of Navy card stock with a piece of Night of Navy Gingham ribbon, and secured it to the card stock using Tear & Tape. I meant to tie the ribbon into a knot for the front of the card, but I forgot and adhered the ribbon to the card stock first. So, the intended knot became a bow – ooops! I like using Tear & Tape with ribbon, because it keeps the ribbon tight to the card without leaking through.
I attached the stamped, punched image to the card, placing it on top of the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added three rhinestones, because all cards need some bling!
Ta-dah! A cute-enough card in a jiffy!
