Merry Christmoose in JulyMerry Christmoose The Stamp Coach

Merry Christmoose in July is another card for a Christmas in July challenge. The theme seems to be pretty popular, and I like Christmas, so I have been happy to play along. Do you love this massive and imposing, yet peaceful moose? I used the Merry Moose stamp set, Moose Punch and neutral Stampin’ Up! colors. This was a popular stamp and punch bundle from the 2019 holiday catalog, and guess what? The stamps and moose punch are returning August 4, 2020! That’s right – you will find them again in the Stampin’ Up! August – December Mini Catalog.

I love neutrals all year, and especially at Christmas. They give an earthy, homey feel to holiday decor and cards. Here, the moose takes center stage and looms mighty and powerful in front of the pine trees. You can make this simple card in minutes, and embellish it with scraps.

I stamped the pine trees from Merry Moose stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and the “Merry Christmoose” and the moose in Soft Suede ink. I cut the light wood-look paper from In Good Taste into tabs with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. The moose is elevated a little with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here are the measurements for the Stampin’ Up! materials:
  • Crumb Cake card stock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″ for card base; 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ layer
  • Very Vanilla card stock: 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ layer
  • Soft Suede card stock: 4-3/8″ x 3-3/8″; ~3″ square for moose
  • In Good Taste Designer Series Paper: scraps for tabs behind the layers

Here are the Stampin’ Up! colors I used. Click on each to see products available in that color.

Below are the Stampn’ Up! products I used. The Merry Moose Stamp Set and Moose Punch are not pictured; they will be available August 4th. The other products can be purchased now. Click on each image to learn more or to purchase in my online store.
