Merry Christmoose in July
Merry Christmoose in July is another card for a Christmas in July challenge. The theme seems to be pretty popular, and I like Christmas, so I have been happy to play along. Do you love this massive and imposing, yet peaceful moose? I used the Merry Moose stamp set, Moose Punch and neutral Stampin’ Up! colors. This was a popular stamp and punch bundle from the 2019 holiday catalog, and guess what? The stamps and moose punch are returning August 4, 2020! That’s right – you will find them again in the Stampin’ Up! August – December Mini Catalog.
I love neutrals all year, and especially at Christmas. They give an earthy, homey feel to holiday decor and cards. Here, the moose takes center stage and looms mighty and powerful in front of the pine trees. You can make this simple card in minutes, and embellish it with scraps.
- Crumb Cake card stock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″ for card base; 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ layer
- Very Vanilla card stock: 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ layer
- Soft Suede card stock: 4-3/8″ x 3-3/8″; ~3″ square for moose
- In Good Taste Designer Series Paper: scraps for tabs behind the layers
Here are the Stampin’ Up! colors I used. Click on each to see products available in that color.
