Animal Outing Together We Make A Great Pair with Animal Expedition

My friend Caitlin visited Saturday and made a card for her friend. I loved the paper and sentiment that she used, so I decided to copy her card, and make one also. This is called CASEing (Copy And Share Everything). I do not have a picture of her card, but I am sharing my version here.

To make the cards, we used the Animal Outing stamp set, the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (DSP). the cute Leaf Ribbon, two colors of card stock, some adhesive, and some glue. That’s it – I promise! The expression “easy as pie” runs through my mind, but I won’t use it because in my experience, pies are not easy to make. However, this card is simple, and it doesn’t require a lot of supplies, so you can make it with what you have on hand.

Here’s a picture of the supplies I used:

I made an easel-style card base from Call Me Clover card stock, and then cut a panel of Lemon Lime Twist. I centered the sentiment “Together We Make a Great Pair” toward the bottom of the Lemon Lime Twist and stamped it with Call Me Clover ink. I trimmed a piece of the frog paper from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (DSP), making sure to include a branch with two frogs, but choosing not to center them so I could also include the other frogs.

The frog paper was framed with another piece of Call Me Clover card stock, then both pieces were adhered to the Lemon Lime Twist panel. I wrapped a piece of the Leaf Ribbon around the front of the panel, and glued it to the back. I also dropped a bit of glue behind a couple of the leaves on the front of the card for added stability. The fully layered panel was then adhered to the card base, and just like that, we had a cute frog card!

  • Call Me Clover card stock: Card base = 4 1/2″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″. Frame for DSP = 3 7/8″ x 3 1/2″
  • Lemon Lime Twist card stock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • DSP: 3 3/4″ x 3 3/8″
  • Leaf Ribbon: ~5″
