Zebras for the In Colors Candy Hearts Blog Hop
Zebras for the In Colors Candy Hearts Blog Hop. Welcome to the July Blog Hop for the Candy Hearts, a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. We have a special guest with us today. The amazing and talented Brian King of stampwithbrian.com is joining us, and I’m sure he has something wonderful to share. After reading my post, I hope you will visit the blogs on the list below. Be sure to check out ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you today.
Today’s blog hop showcases the 2020-2021 In Colors introduced in the Stampin’ Up! annual catalog that launched in June. They are gorgeous colors, and we will enjoy creating with them. I shared the colors above on The Stamp Coach Facebook Page: Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight. Everyone has a favorite, and mine changes daily, it is currently Misty Moonlight, but Just Jade might be next! What is your favorite?
For today’s project I chose to use all of the new colors. I decided that this adorable zebra telling us to kick up our heels was the best way to greet the In Colors. The zebra is from a new stamp set called Zany Zebras, and they are zany indeed. There are three zebras in the set, and you will be seeing a lot of them from me, in fact you might only see zebras for awhile. So very fun!
The cards are 3″ x 3″ and coordinate with the 3″ x 3″ envelopes from Stampin’ Up! I enjoy making miniature cards – they make cute gift sets, and it is great to have them on hand to spread some kindness at the bank, grocery store, nail salon, etc. We have people visiting this week for refrigerator and AC repairs, and they will both leave with a little zebra cards as a thank you.
Here are the measurements for the Stampin’ Up! materials I used:
- In Color card stock: 3″ x 6″ scored and folded at 3″ for the card base
- Whisper White card stock: 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ for stamping; 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ for inside
- Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper: 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ layer in patterns that coordinate with each In Color; 3″ x 2″ to trim flap of envelope
I added a colored rhinestone from the Holiday Rhinestones to coordinate with each card, except for the Cinnamon Cider, which has a Champagne Rhinestone. There are enamel dots that coordinate with the In Colors, but these cute zebras needed bling!
Thank you for hopping with us today! Enjoy the projects from the other blogs – you will not want to miss any of the creativity from this talented group of stampers!
